Crafternoon #2: Caterpillars

What's a Crafternoon? Read the original post here

We didn't actually get to make it to this Crafternoon, but my friend hosted it at her house. They did a caterpillar theme and the crafts turned out very cute and seem simple to do!

They made caterpillar handprint art. Seriously I LOVE the idea of turning kids's handprints into creatures is so clever. My Pinterest board is chock full of different ideas. The activity Sophie did is similar to this one.

They also made caterpillars out of an egg carton. One carton was perfect for two kids! They painted the tops of the caterpillar's 'body' then pipecleaners became legs and antlers and googly eyes were used for... well the eyes!

So cute!

I love their concentrating faces!

I'm not sure if they read The Very Hungry Caterpillar, but it would be great to have these crafts to tie in with the book!
