2012!

You were good to me 2012. I gave birth to the most incredible little girl in my life, my daughter Edison. Nothing can top that as a highlight for the year!

And I also had Edison's Winter Collection when she was brand new!

Which tied in with the Little Sister series to welcome her birth! The Little Sister series is totally going to return next year by the way, I have been talking with my sister Betty who is having her own little girl {due in March!} and she would love to contribute some things!

And I also made up 7 masterlists of FREE tutorials and patterns from around the web for little girl clothing. I'm currently working on completing the boy one, and then I have to go back and update the girl ones! There's so much new stuff coming out all the time!

2013 is going to be so exciting! I have Project Run & Play, which I am working on right now, and a few other ideas in the works! See you next year!

Rainbow Dress

I revisted Dana's Baby Tanks pattern again, using a rainbow striped dress I picked up from the opshop!

I love this fabric, rainbows make me happy with their brightness and colour! I kept the pocket that was on the front of the original dress, a totally useless feature for an item of clothing for a baby, but it makes me laugh.

Underneath she wore a nappy cover I had made Vincent, just green with a knuckleduster stencilled onto the bum. We were so hardcore back then... hahah.

Sewing & Wednesday Addams

Just popping by really really quickly. I should be sewing but I needed to check something on the laptop and then BAM I decided I needed to add a post.

It's really hard not sharing the photos of what I'm working on for Project Run & Play! I'm taking a billion photos though, and when I get the chance I'm going to have a Project Run & Play Diaries sort of thing to share with you when the competition starts and I've sewn all my pieces.

It's really exciting, I'm pushing my boundaries and finding that I am rising to the challenge! Scary, only 16 days until my first submission and I really want as many of my pieces finished by then. I have a few themes sketched and KNOW what I'm doing, but there are two and a half challenges that I am so blank. It's bad, but I know once I get what I'm working on out of the way I can refocus and work on those blank things...

ANYWAY. Edison is 5 and a half months old now, but here's a cute photo of her at 4 months! This is her third Wednesday dress, and once she's turned 12 months I will share them all with you.

Huge news!

If you've already seen the announcement on Project Run & Play of the designers for Season 6, then you already know what I'm about to tell you...

I AM A DESIGNER 

That's right! The ladies asked if I {me? what!} would compete for season 6. The last two months or so I've been anxious and nervous every time I thought about it. I honestly do not think I am good enough, but THEY do, and you guys always leave lovely comments on the things that I make so I must have something going for me {even if you're just here to look at my cute kids}!

I'm in an awesome lineup of other designers, and even though I have high doubts that I can bust out a win, just being ASKED to be in this is a HUGE honour! My goal is to make it through the first week, and after that then I will be super stoked!

I hope I can bring you some rad stuff to blow you away, I hope that you will be proud of me and I hope that you vote for me! In reality though, I'd love you to just vote for who YOU think deserves it {I'm going to do my darn best to make sure that that is me!}
