Pattern Review: Rouche and Division Top3:20 pm
I really love all of Lil Luxe Collection patterns, i'm not just saying that for any reason than its how I feel and I really want you to love them too! All Jess' patterns are super trendy and stylish, even the ones I thought were sort of basic turn out total favourites of mine! I feel like most of the time when I'm sewing for Eddie it's a LLC pattern, honestly. Also, i feel that every time I write a post about an LLC pattern I start the post off the same way - totally gushing about them!
(If you're interested, some past LLC on the blog inclued the Alley Cat Romper one and two and three and four and dont forget the massive Bright & Bold collection I did with three of Lil Luxe Collection's patterns. There's also the petite sweater!)
The Rouche and Division Top and Dress was always a pattern I thought was cute but didn't really need - however when Jess reviewed the pattern and needed testers for it, I signed up right away and I'm super glad I did!
Check out this cute little top!
Its a sweet little A-Line and options include different lengths from Top to Dress, two sleeve lengths and the option to add rouching to them. You also have the option to add a contrast back panel or not. The coolest part about this dress is the fabric options. You can pretty much use literally anything you want for it, as it's a pattern for woven or knit fabrics! Or a mixture of both! The boatneck means it's easy pull on and off - such a simple little pattern but beautiful!
This top took me a maximum of maybe 40min to an hour to sew up? Its so straightforward and easy, I can't express that enough!
That beautiful hair though
I used the same fabric a few years ago for a cute little wanderer tunic for Eddie (which reminds me I want to make another one of those too!)
Maybe it's because I'm used to LLC patterns now and the way they go together, but honestly the pattern pieces go together so straightforward and even though sometimes there's a technique in the instructions that may seem freaky you HAVE TO TRUST them and just take that leap of faith because I promise it will ALWAYS turn out 10/10 every time. Just follow the instructions, ignore your gut on this one I swear aha. You can read some more reviews here!
