My site is all about showing others how easy it is to Do It Yourself. I strongly believe in the DIY ethic, and there's no better high than feeling inspired and creating, as well as inspiring others! I'm a little different to other DIYing Mama blogs. There is a definite punk rock ethic as well a whole lot of geeking out going on over here. All in all though, I'm a mama, so there will never be anything posted on here that I would ever not want my children and family to read!
The Stats
Since I've been working harder on this site, my stats have increased dramatically! They're constantly on the up as I strive to promote myself and bring fresh and new content almost daily to the blog.
29 000+ visits a month
1,500+ page views a day400+ subscribers via rss and google reader
I have 89 followers on my blog's twitter account, something that I'm going to start promoting more, but I have almost 500 followers on my personal twitter account, which I use a lot for promoting my blog as well.
Max-California.com also has a brand new facebook page, with currently over 1200 followers. It was created in the beginning of February 2012 and is becoming a sweet little social spot for my readers.
Advertising
Ads will be 215 wide and as well as being promoted on the sidebar of the blog, I will also write a feature post about your product, service or website. You can see shop features I have written here.
Advertising preference is given to independent businesses who specialise in handmade products or supplies.
Promotions, Discounts, Giveaways
You can promote your site or business in a few ways as well as buying adspace. We can organise a giveaway, where readers can enter to win a product or service from you, or you could offer a discount for my readers using a special discount code. You can see an example of giveaways here
Reviews
If you'd like me to review a product, send me an email and we can talk. I'm currently reviewing a few products, so as soon as they go up on the site I will link to them here as examples.
Rates
Since I've only just opened up sponsorship for this blog, ads are $10 for 2 months at the moment. This is subject to change in the future, but my long-term sponsors will get great deals and opportunities as the site grows.
